white lines-- on the road that is   Message List

Has any one noticed that the white lines on crossworks, etc are VERY
slippery?? They are not painted on, they seem to be pre-cut and
stuck on , like a stencil. Is there any reason for this?
WHen you are on this white lines and especially when it is rainy,
either with a car or bike, they are like ice,!!
What were they thinking?

My guess is that the stick-on stripes eliminate the problem of wet paint. I can't imagine that they cost less than paint. A couple of times I've seen where...
