Some good advice regarding bikes laying on the ground   Message List

Hey all!

Too bad I missed the ride but I had another ride to do; rode my folding bike to Suffolk Community College for an event and then to Babylon (Carriage Inn) for a Sierra Club thingy.

Anyway. I noticed in the top photo that someone laid their bike down on the derailer side. That's a no-no and should be watched for since that can lead to a bent hanger which results in a possible derailleur entering the spokes and a nasty fall, and other problems (difficult shifts, difficulty with "ghost" shifting).

Hope you all had a great time!
