Re: [Bicycle_Restoration] Annie's next tricycle?

well, yes, I generally call mine a "sociable tandem" which may be redundant, but does keep you from having to tell people what it is.  Most folks recognize a "tandem" as a "bicycle for two people"  and don't really know the terms well, (as most of us don't really) Hence a triplet is a "3 seat tandem" to a lot of people.

The PPV is a GAS to ride!  I enjoy riding with my grand daughter, or one of my daughters and my nephew, Hunter!  It isn't terrible if you are riding with two people on a modest hill, but solo, the 130 lb beast is a chore.  It is lacking in some amenities too, bearings on the pedals for instance!  But it IS fun.  I have two or three friends in the immediate area who have them and restore them.  We are riding them in a parade in downtown for the 4th of July!

It does look like fun if you live somewhere flat.

Note, the description is in error in calling it a "tandem."

Strictly speaking, "tandem" means one in front of the other.
