Im probably not understanding it right, but I don't see how shifting the axel helps. If I was able to shift it inward, wouldnt the same problem now present

It looks like a simple axle adjustment unless it is a problem with skewer length. Steve explained how it is best done and any more explanation would make it

Quick release is capable of clamping hard enough to hold it, but solid axles are more simple. Is your axle too long? The axle should sit about .5 to 1mm on
