The Tuesday Nighters are a somewhat impromtu bike race series every Tuesday night. The ride starts at Kulshan at 6:00 and rides north out of town to one of two courses. The first course is closer to town and fairly technical. The second course is out near the northern refineries and is a big square. The group divides into two groups (occasionally a third); the B group leaves first and after a few minute delay the A group (the faster group) leaves. Each group rides a set number of laps, and afterword everyone rides back to town together. As more and more daylight becomes available, they add more loops to the race. I think the Mt. Baker Cycling Club puts it on. And, this may be an urban legend, but I hear that it used to be a race around Lake Samish until someone missed a turn and went into the lake.
I believe Tuesday Night rides will begin March 13 (earlier this year due to the change with daylight savings time being moved) and we probably will be switching courses back and forth like last year. I suspect the first few will be at the course closer to Bellingham
based on the amount of sunlight available.

Does anyone know when Tuesday Nighters are starting up? I've heard rumors that they begin right after daylight savings. Also, anyone know if they are using the new course this year or the old course?
Thanks

You can have aero bars - just don't use them and keep your hands on the drops or cowhorns. Thank you, Jimmy Healey RunningShoes.com www.runningshoes.com ... ...

I don't. As long as you don't use your aero bars, there is no problem. They can deal with it, if you ask me. Marti ________________________________ From:...
