World Duathlon Qualifier
The Mt. Rainier Duathlon on April 25th has been chosen as one of five qualifying races for the 2005 ITU World Duathlon Championships on September 25-26 in Newcastle, Australia. Three qualifying slot are available in each age group, with slots rolling down to those athletes finishing within 25% of the winner's time. The winner of each age group also wins a complimentary entry to the 2005 USAT Duathlon National Championships June 11-12 in Mason, OH. If you are not up to the long course challenge 8.5k run, 48 k bike, 6k run, the short course is about 1/2 the distance of the long course 3K Run, 25K Bike, and a 6K Run.
Get those registrations in before April 11 to save yourself the $10.00 late fee.
Packet pickup will be at the King county Fair Grounds the night before the event from 5-8 pm or the morning of the event from 6-7:45 am with the race starting at 8:00 am.

NOTE: You will race in the age category that corresponds to your age on December 31, 2005. For example, if you are 39 and your birthday is after 4-25 you race in the 40-44 (born 1965-1960) age category. Clydesdales must attend weigh-in at registration.

*Please include one entry form for each team member and circle the leg in box below for each member. For non-USAT members the team will be required to pay one $9 fee for insurance per team.
USA TRIATHLON SANCTIONED EVENT
All participants must either be an annual member of USAT, or purchase a single event insurance permit for $9 which is NOT included in the race fee. You can sign up for an Annual Membership online at the USAT website, www.usatriathlon.org. Memberships run from date of purchase and expire in 12 months. Annual Members of USA Triathlon with a valid membership card do not have to pay the $9 fee. All participants must sign the waiver and follow the USAT rules.
