Fellow Riders: I plan to attend. Have talked with a few other bent riders who
also plan to join.
Weather forecast is clear to broken skies with temps in low 60's at start and
low 70's at finish. What great ride weather!
Want some extra miles?
I will launch from Grass Lawn Park in Redmond and join the Mini TOT group at
Marymoor Park. Plan to stay with the Mini TOT group until they launch return to
Marymoor. At that point, I will continue on to Golden Gardens Park in Ballard
via Burke Gillman Trail. Will return same route.
Ride from Grass Lawn Park to GG is mostly flat to rolling. A few short, steeper
hills. And one good hill ... Old Redmond Rd from Grass Lawn Park to Redmond is
about 2 mi's at 4-7% grade. Fun on the way out, work on the return.
My pace is moderate .. 15-17mph. Bio / water / carb stops about every 45 mins.
Stop locations are dictated mostly by available facilities (and necessity).
I will leave Grass Lawn Park in Redmond at 09:30AM to connect with the Mini TOT
for their 10:00AM departure. Return to Grass Lawn Park is probably between
6-7PM. Total mi's for my longer ride is about 70. Unless we encounter enroute
difficulties, we will be home by sunset (I recommend lighting anyway).
My ride is unsupported.
Meet me at Grass Lawn Park soccer field on Old Redmond Rd (near parking lot) if
you want to do the long ride with me.
And RSVP so I make sure no on gets left behind.
