Re: [BentPacNW] Re: PowerGrip straps/pedals vs clips

I find Power Grips fussy to get into. It might be easier on a
recumbent trike, since 1) you're not going to fall over, and B) you
can see your feet.

Some people don't like the absolutely free float on Frogs. Bebops
are very similar. SPDs, Time Atac, Crank Brothers, to name a few,
offer float but also provide a centering force that helps keep your
feet pointing fore-and-aft. Hopefully the bike shop you're dealing
with will let you return a system if you don't like it.

Hello All - My recumbent trike came with SPD hybrid clipless pedals, but as yet I have no shoes, so I'm thinking powergrip straps for my hybrid pedals. What's...

Being clipped in is a must. Power Grips would probably work, but any clipless pedal will be quicker to get into and will probably be more secure. My...

Mark: Yes, as Bill says, being clipped in is pretty much required on a 'bent. I have a pair of Lakes sandals that I just don't use any more - what size do you...

Haven't tried the PowerGrips, but they won't do a whole lot to keep your feet from slipping down the pedals on a trike. SPDs worked well enough for me for my...
