Thanks for the info, Mike. I had been told by folks who should know
that the "canted" nature of the PowerGrip straps attachment to the
pddals does a really good job of holding your feet on the pedals, but
as I've never used anything other that straight toe-clips before (and
that was long enough ago to classify as another lifetime), i don't
have any experience to go on.

I assume by SPD's below you are talking about the pedals themselves,
which I'm more than happy to learn about as alternatives while I'm
riding on what was delivered with the trike. Just looked up
the 'frogs' and they look like a real nice option. So far I've put
less than 100 miles in on riding this trike, but they've been 100
wonderfully fulfilling miles!
