Hi Mark,

I forwarded your email to our OHPV email group, and you got some replies so I thought I’d better forward them back to you, too :-)

Looking forward to meeting you later this month

Edna

Welcome Mark!

Welcome to the OHPV group and welcome to recumbents.   You couldnt have found a more comfortable way to commute or a more comfortable group of people.  As far as the OHPV event in Portland, it is partly about competing but mostly about fun.  If you are thinking about entering some events, I would encourage you to do so.  Last year was my first time.  There is no pressure.  No attitudes.  I was a little nervous about entering but was so glad that I did.  Looking forward to meeting you in a couple of weeks.

Chris Young

Hello - Just joined up to listen in, but figured it's rude to do so
without introducing myself.

I hail from rural Thurston County - just began riding 'bent on a
Wizwheelz Terra Trike Tour - new experience for me, but almost a
necessity if I'm to commute the distance I have in mind (total hip
replacement, balance issues, etc...).

Interested in recreational riding as well as getting serious about
BIKE commuting. My "other bike" is a Giant SuedeE electric assist
bike. Have my eye on a cyclone e-assist for this trike as my commute
is potentially 20-30 miles long.

I will be likely attending the OHPV event in Portland just to see all
the makes & models of wheeled human power! Can't make up my mind if I
have the skills to compete in any way whatsoever
