Racing added to the HPC '08
Hi folks,
Perhaps you have heard rumors about the HPC trying to enrich the
world of HPV's by introducing a category of e-assist to our ranks of
contenders and comrades. The rumors were true, and it has now become
a reality! Sure, it is rush job to get it in this year, and we don't
have as much time to help promote it as we would like, but it is such
a great addition to the mix of our event that we just had to pursue
it. And we are honored to say, that we are one of the first, if not
the first, racing venue for this type of vehicle on a track, in the

Naturally, we will continue to try and expand our primary event,
the "human" part of the Human Power Challenge, rest assured that we
will always look for means and methods to improve and enhance our
event. Which reminds me, we will also have at PIR this year an
exhibition and display of electric vehicles, brought to you by
another local organization, the Oregon Electrical Vehicle
Association. Most of their vehicles are conversion cars and are very
cool in a semi tech heavy way. That should be a lot of fun to check
out, as if you don't have enough to do!
