Subject: [ohpv] Pre registration
for the HPC '08 open tomorrow
So you're thinking, what's the big deal about
pre-reging for the race? That's what I thought you were thinking! Can't fool
me! Why, that's what I would ask too, and I'm just a couch potatoe. Alright then,
let me tell you how it helps us and you to register via online or through the
snail mail. First you.
You save $5 off from the regular entry fee, and this year, we have made it so
that the online fees are absorbed by us so that you are actually paying the
reduced fee with no extra fees attached. This of course applies to the snail
mail entries too. Think of it as 5 free bucks going to your carbo loading
regime, how's zat?
You do still get a free raffle ticket included with your pre-reg pledge, and
you know we have had some outrageously nice goodies that have been donated to
our race, thanks to our
pals from many sectors of the HPV community.
Now us.
We can't tell you how much "easier and more fluid" the registration process
is for the registration folks when a pre-reg'er comes to the table. With
numbers pre-assigned and all the racer info set up in therace logs, it is so
efficient it allows for much more interactive time with the race entrants and
the fielding of general questions as well. Tech inspections and final
registration is a snap, and it's on to getting your steed prepped for the show,
and or more importantly, time to begin the non stop yak fest with your fellow
benters!
And remember, you can't go out onto the track until you have registered,,
One more time, pre-reg opens up tomorrow, Monday the 10th. Here's a link to the
registration page.

Lots more stuff to announce in the next few days, not only on this list, but on
the race news pages too. Hope everyone had a fine time this weekend, not bad
for a forecast rainy weekend!
