Tony,
Nice to hear from you. Judie and I left Seattle December 13 and are visiting my son in Norfolk. The weather here has been quite warm for the season (one day it got to 72) and sunny, though it's raining today. We basically escaped the bad weather you're having, but we don't have our bikes with us. Also Judie totaled the rental car and I broke 4 ribs. She's bruised, but ok.
We get back to Seattle January 7th and leave a couple weeks later for two months in Phoenix. We will take our bikes and hope to do a lot of riding. What else would we do since we're not golfers or tennis players and are not interested in spring training. I'm really looking forward to riding where it's warm and fairly flat. We might do some longer trips like to Tuscan while we're there. I expect to come back in unusually good shape for the time of year.
We have rough plans to ride to the east coast in time for my 50th high school reunion at the end of September. We'll probably leave Seattle sometime in June. I'd like to do the Adventure Cycling transamerica route that ends in Yorktown, Va, but exactly what we'll do depends in part on whether my son will still be in Virginia in the fall. It would be very convenient if he is still here because we could leave our bikes here and take public transportation to Massachusetts and then return here and get a military flight back to the west coast. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind doing some fall riding in New England.
I do hope we can ride with you and other BentPacNW riders in April, May, and part of June.
Happy Holidays,
Charles

Here's wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas!
It's been pretty crazy here in Redmond (Ames Lake)
weather-wise lately. We lost our electricity for
7 1/2 days. It's been raining so much with heavy
winds. I haven't been riding for about a month.
Hope some of you are still riding. Any interesting
bike projects going on?
Fairwinds,
Tony
