I think you definitely should give Angle Lake another try. Talk to
Dale and make clear what you want.

I think he has an HP Velo Scorpion now, too.

Seems to me high-end trikes are difficult items for a small shop to
stock. They are expensive, so inventory ties up a lot of capital.
Not many people really want a trike, so sales are probably slower
than for comparably-priced bicycles. The return on investment is not
as good as on bicycles.
Also, *in some cases*, because trikes are somewhat novel and the
companies that make them are small and somewhat immature, the
machines may have flaws that the owners find unacceptable given the
small fortunes paid for the product. The dealer ends up taking heat
from the customers over these problems. My wife's Greenspeed had
some stupid flaws along these lines, fenders that rubbed on the tires
being the worst. (Greenspeed (after a year) delivered sensible
fenders and I've fixed the other problems.)
For a recent example of poor work/execution by a manufacturer, Dale
got burned on the Pashley Moulton TSRs he bought. The TSRs had a
variety of problems that it fell to him to fix, sometimes while eager-
becoming-disappointed customers waited in the shop.

Angle Lake will do Dual Drives, as well as super cool stuff like
Rohloffs. If I ever make it to a BentPacNW ride y'all can see my
Rohloff Bacchetta. If you've got the dough a Rohloff is hard to
beat. On my B, I used two chainrings with the Rohloff for a gear
range of 17 to 119 inches.
BTW, I've been trying out an HP Velo Spirit with an 8-speed Dual
Drive hub. The DD is very nice.
