The BentNation! Mission
TO:
popularize the use of recumbent bicycles for transportation including: commuting, recreation, touring, and racing.
IN A WAY THAT:
- Welcomes and supports new recumbent riders
- Challenges legislated "safety" bicycle (wedgie) design exclusivity in world class bicycle racing
- Promotes cycling safety by championing the inherently safer recumbent design
- Organizes sanctioned and unsanctioned tours, rides, charity, and racing events
- Coordinates with other recumbent clubs and organizations in Texas, the United States and the World
SO THAT:
- The recumbent is the standard of bicycle design
- Human powered vehicle technology improvement is accelerated through the backing of mass markets
