So what seemed like a good idea several months ago didn't seem like quite as good of an idea about 5 hours into the run on Saturday morning. But all three of us that set out to finish it, did indeed finish it. It definitely took me longer than expected, with some long breaks at the "aid stations" and a fair amount of walking mixed in there as the mileage increased.

Aside from the wind, we got pretty lucky with the weather. It was a beautiful sunny day and every part of the trail that had flooded on Friday was drained by Saturday morning.

Since in years past we've come up short when paying for hotels and gas and everything, this year we're asking that everyone pays $120 up front...which means in the next week or so.

Way to go Debbie. It looks like we'll have lights one way or another. The superintendent turned me over to the activities director who is in charge of the master schedule, and we've been playing phone tag. BRC needs a good showing on Tuesday nights to justify the school's committment to fitness and to our program.

The lights were turned on for us last night. Debra happen to catch one of the groundsmen and asked him if he could turn the lights on. He turned on a couple of the lights and even opened up the restrooms for us. He said he would do it every Tuesday, his name was John.

I'm still working on the lights at East. Mr. Kniepkamp said that he doesn't have the authority to spend money on the lights, and he suggested that I contact the superintendent. I'm sure tomorrow night will be dark, but if the lights are on, will someone let me know?

The lights were turned on for us last night. Debra happen to catch one of the groundsmen and asked him if he could turn the lights on. He turned on a couple of the lights and even opened up the restrooms for us. He said he would do it every Tuesday, his name was John.

Sorry for the slow reponse to this, but here it goes...

So what seemed like a good idea several months ago didn't seem like quite as good of an idea about 5 hours into the run on Saturday morning. But all three of us that set out to finish it, did indeed finish it. It definitely took me longer than expected, with some long breaks at the "aid stations" and a fair amount of walking mixed in there as the mileage increased.

Aside from the wind, we got pretty lucky with the weather. It was a beautiful sunny day and every part of the trail that had flooded on Friday was drained by Saturday morning.
