I've been talking about this River to River run in southern Illinois
for a while and tomorrow they start taking applications. It sounds
like not all applicants make it, so we might be out of luck anyway.
The basic info is that it's an 8 person + 2 alternates relay where you
run 3 legs each consisting of roughly 3.3 miles each leg. So total
distance for each of the 8 would be 10 miles.

The cost is $360 per team, and we'll need to either have 1 or 2 vans
to transport the team. Plus it's in southern Illinois near Carbondale,
so that'll probably entail 2 nights of hotels.

I think it'd be a great time and from last years results you can enter
your team in a "special" category to compete against other teams.
Those divisions are like family, old friends, military, and Culinary.
There was only 1 culinary team from last year...and since some of us
brew beer, I was thinking we could be a brewers group.

And at some point we'll brew some beer and crack it open at the finish
line.

Let me know if you're interested in doing this, or if you know of
anyone that would be interested in running or being an alternate, let
me know.

We're also looking for any type of sponsorship we can get. If anyone
knows of a home brew shop in Belleville that's runner friendly...let
me know...lol
