Description

The Beer Belly Bike Club (BBBC) is a diverse group of dedicated riders of varying abilities. The group was founded on August 5, 2007, at Osan AB in South Korea. The idea was to give Air Force members a chance to get off the base, enjoy Korea via bicycle and share some choice beverages afterwards.

Since then, the number of beer bellies worldwide has grown to more than 200 and counting. The name of the group stems from the semi-permanent body trait that most of our founding members shared...the beer belly; you do not have to have a beer belly to join though.

As a group, we are more focused on the riding improvement of all the members, as opposed to an all out race to the end of the trail. Because of this, our rides are mostly non-competitive and we ALWAYS finish together.

Although the BBBC was originally intended to be a MTB club, some chapters feature a significant roady and tri-athlete presence as well. Additionally, we ride all year and do a considerable amount of night riding (MTB) as well. Check our message boards frequently to see if anyone is heading out for a ride.

Hope to see you on the Italian trails soon!

NOTE: Check out the "Links" section often to see if there is a BeerBellyBikeClub chapter in your area! As of now, BBBC TUCSON, AZ, BBBC Incirlik, Turkey, and BBBC YOKOTA, Japan are all online.
