Last week, tie-breakers were used on some of the match-ups and a person played that scored zero and their opponent didn't play---moved on! This week, no way! All of the winning people won---All had a score of 4. Here we go!

PIT BY 3
ATL BY 30
PHI BY 13
NE BY 17
(Those did not matter at all, you'll see why!)

PV8GC:
#7 Mike Carr (3) vs. #1 Me (4)
#6 Steve Duquette (4) vs. #4 Brian LaValley (3)

IPPC:
#7 Ron Folmer (3) vs. #1 Dave Stewart (4)
#6 Brian Foss (defending champ) (2) vs. #4 jewballaz13 (4)

As you can tell, the defending champ lost this weekend, so that means one of the final four will be the next champion, and one of them will be looking for their second title!

PV8GC Conference Championship:
#6 Steve Duquette vs. #1 Me
This matchup features two members of PV8 that counted on PHI to win in order to be in this championship. If MN had won, we would have been looking at Mike Carr vs. Brian LaValley. Anyways, I am in the final four for the first time since the second season and going for my second title in the six years that Beat Mike has been around. Steve Duquette, this is his first trip to the final four and is looking for a chance to win a championship. I believe this is the first meeting between these two.

IPPC Conference Championship:
#4 jewballaz13 vs. #1 Dave Stewart
This matchup pairs up two people that played their season on Yahoo! Pick'em League. jewballaz13 ruined Brian Foss's party for a repeat performance. Dave Stewart has been dominate all season long and wants to show jewballaz13 why he was #1 in all of Beat Mike this season (though I am a #1 seed in PV8GC, I only finished in third overall). This is the first meeting between these two!

So, the winners of these matchups will move on to Beat Mike Bowl VI on February 6!

I will send Steve Duquette, Dave Stewart, and jewballaz13 their newsletter by Tuesday.

Good luck to the final four!
Mike
