Beat Mike Playoffs
Round 1
Hello and congrats to all who made it into the Beat Mike Playoffs! This is a great honor if this is your first time in them, and if you been before, it's a great honor for you too! The playoffs work as Head-to-Head. Obviously, who ever has the most picks right wins. The games are as follow:
#5 St. Louis Rams (8-8) @ #4 Seattle Seahawks (9-7) (Sat. 4:30PM, ABC; Locally: 5, 6, 8, 9, 19, 40)
#5 New York Jets (10-6) @ #4 San Diego Chargers (12-4) (Sat. 8PM, ABC; Locally: 5, 6, 8, 9, 19, 40)
#6 Denver Broncos (10-6) @ #3 Indianapolis Colts (12-4) (Sun. 1PM, CBS; Locally: 3, 4, 12, 67, WRGB)
#6 Minnesota Vikings (8-8) @ #3 Green Bay Packers (10-6) (4:30PM, Fox; Locally: 25, 61, 64, WXXA)
DEADLINE: Saturday, January 8 @ 4:25PM (ET). I must receive your picks by the deadline or you will not be accounted for this week and eliminated from the playoffs.
NOTE: When you send me your picks, please indicate how much the team that you pick will win by. This will determine the tie-breakers. Example: BAL by 7. Last year was very important, since both people in the 13 vs. 4 matchup did not play. For your matchup, if there is a tie, then the closest (only the games you picked were the same) point difference will win. Example: If you both picked Rams and Packers to win and in the other games, you picked differently. Lets say that you picked STL by 7 and GB by 8 and your opponent picked STL by 9 and GB by 7. Let's say that GB won by 7 and STL won by 10, that total would be 17. The person that had 16 won.
Just a reminder: When you do your picks, please do them in one of the following formats: IND @ NE*; IND @ NE-NE.
Now with that being squared away, here are the playoff matches:
PV8GC:
#8 Jay Whelihan (75) vs. #1 Me (166)
Former division rivals. Jay Whelihan's first playoff appearance. My 5th play appearance. I try to go for my first championship since 1999. First meeting between these two.
#7 Mike Carr (87) vs. #2 Josh Pratt (150)
Mike Carr's first season, makes a comeback to be in playoffs. Josh Pratt makes the playoffs for a second season in a row. First meeting between these two.
#6 Steve Duquette (110) vs. #3 Mike Kosiorek (150)
Steve Duquette's first trip to postseason since 2002. Mike Kosiorek pulled the upset in 2002 by beating #1 Kevin Payne in first round as the #32 seed. Mike lost the first round to Dan Garnell last year, but made it to the second round because #4 Jay Noyes and #13 Chris Adams didn't play and Mike won the tie-breaker to be in the second round. This is the first meeting between these two.
#5 Joe Axenroth (114) vs. #4 Brian LaValley (150)
Joe Axenroth is in the playoffs for the first time since 2002. Brian LaValley makes his fifth trip in six years. This is the first meeting between these two.

Dan Garnell makes his third appearance in the playoffs. He made it to the semifinals last year and lost to Brian Foss. david_stewartca is this year's BM Rookie of the Year. How will the rookie impact the three year veteran? This is the first meeting between these two.

coorskids can prove to be a winner in JFL3, but how about in the BM Playoffs? slammer121212 has played in every BM Fantasy League I ran and also runs a Survival NASCAR League on Yahoo! Fantasy Sports. Can slammer121212 survive the playoffs? This is the first meeting between these two.
#6 Brian Foss (156) vs. #3 crzy4hcky (162)
Brian Foss won BM Bowl V and is trying to repeat this season. crzy4hcky is trying to ruin Brian Foss's party. This is the first meeting between these two.
