NOTES:
1. I said in the introduction, next year's Beat Mike will have a new change. Remember how I determine the tie-breakers, right (No. of weeks played, highest score on the previous week)? Well, between No. of weeks play and highest score on the previous, you can add a new tiebreaker, poll questions. Poll questions will count next year by how many you answer and the number you get right. # of right answers/number of poll questions done. Make sure you answer those questions next year! No. of weeks will always be the #1 tie-breaker, however.
2. On the Week 17 edition, there will be a poll question for the top 4 bowl games and the BC-UMass basketball game.
3. Starting on Week 14's newsletter, I have put the volume and issue number.
4. Week 15 will be the 100th regular season week. On December 21, you will receive an e-mail from me of the top 10 (or 20, or 25, depends on which mode I am in) of the best weeks in Beat Mike history. If you included playoffs, the 100th week would of been Week 16 of Season 5.
5. Fantasy Football seasons will end soon. Out of the four teams I am running, three of them have all ready clinched playoffs. BMN 6's (JFL3, 10-2), Denver Broncos (NFLFL1, 11-1), and Kansas City Chiefs (NFLFL2, 9-3). As of this point, BMN 6's and Kansas City Chiefs will win this week, and Denver Broncos and BMN Football will lose this week.
6. NFL: Pittsburgh and Atlanta can clinch division titles this week with a win. New England can clinch a playoff spot with a win. San Francisco, Miami and Cleveland, I believe have been eliminated from playoff contention.
7. Beat Mike playoffs scenarios will come tomorrow with the standings.
8. Catch one of the best exciting movies made for TV on Saturday, December 11. 3: The Dale Earnhardt Story at 9PM (ET) on ESPN.
9. Have you noticed something with the games? I have listed the teams in a font color that represents one of their team colors. Sorry Browns & Bengal fans. There's no orange or brown in my e-mail settings for font color. I like to try it out for this week and see if you like it and if you do, then I might do it again in the future.
Thank You,
Mike
