Beat Mike Week 6
Welcome to week 6. I am sorry if I sent this a day later than normal. I went to Rhode Island for the weekend (I think in a few years, I want to move to either Fall River, New Bedford, Tiverton (RI), North Tiverton (RI), Portsmouth (RI) or out to Ohio), worked yesterday and went out to Worcester today. So, I was unable to send the newsletter on Monday or this morning/afternoon. I will send you the standings tonight (Brian LaValley, you will have an updated score from week 4 since I did found your e-mail from week 4 and the week 5 total will also be on there). For the first time since 1993, New England will play Seattle. In the Beat Mike existence, New England has not played vs. Seattle or San Francisco (NE will play vs. SF on week 17). NOTES:
1. I was suppose to dedicate this week of Beat Mike for Billy Baker, but I have decided to move it to week TBA.
2. NASCAR Nextel Cup will be in Charlotte, NC this week. The race will take place on October 16 at 7PM on NBC (locally: 7, 10, 22, 30).
3. Boston Red Sox are in the ALCS. They will play vs. New York Yankees for the second year in a row in the ALCS. You can catch all the action on Fox (locally: 25, 61, 64). GO RED SOX!
4. I have decided to put the local TV stations that the game(s), race(s) will be aired. The stations on there are Springfield (MA), Hartford, Boston, Manchester (NH), and Providence.
5. The standings from Week 5 will be sent later on tonight. I will post the standings with the week 6 standings on the fantasy sports leagues I belong to.
6. You can catch Patriots' 5th quarter after the SEA @ NE game on UPN 38.
