Beat Mike? What's Beat Mike? Beat Mike was a game created back in 1999 for my friends. It was developed on the same concept as the Union-News/Republican's (Springfield, MA) Beat Carlos, but with an NFL twist. The season didn't end at week 17. The champion was not crowned on week 17. We had playoffs to determind our champions. Our champion was always crowned after the Superbowl game. Another twist was that we used all of the games in that week, not just the Sunday's games. Also, the game has been free, easy, and fun to play. We do not use money nor we bet on the games. Since 2001, Beat Mike has also competed in fantasy baseball, football, hockey, basketball, and NASCAR. This is the hangout spot for all of us who have played in or verus (fantasy sports) Beat Mike.
