Members that gave me their shipping info at the meeting,
You can now make orders via phone or online.
When ordering over the phone: Make sure you tell them you are from NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY. They will tell you the discount you will recieve on each item you are ordering
When ordering online: Make sure you fill in the Company Name Box as "North Carolina State University" or you will not recieve the discount. They will send a follow up email after the order telling you how much you have saved.
If the discount is the reason you are going to buy an item, try ordering over the phone so that you can find out the discount before the order actually goes through. Free ground shipping if it's over 50$ AFTER the discount is
applied.
Not sure when we will be able to use the discount, I had sent an email the other day asking the same thing. I'm hoping as soon as he gets the roster, which is why I'm sending it thursday night. I'll let you know if I hear back from him.

Alright, I'm working on getting us a TackleWarehouse Discount without
being actually sponsored by them. They give discounts to a bunch of
college teams and all they ask in return is a roster so that people
outside the school can't get the discount. If you have the ability to
drive, go to Castaways, but I know some of the guys have no way of
transportation so I'm trying to set this up. If you want in, send me

Did you make a new basspack group? I can just make you an officer on the one I made years ago. Then you can take it over and pass it on after you are done. Let me know.

You could have some type of flipping/pitching accuracy competition, but I'm not sure how many people know how to use baitcasters... which could result in a lot of backlashes and birdsnests haha

Hey everybody,
There is a freshmen coming to state this fall and his name is Clint. He has sent an email trying to see if anyone would want to go fishing with him before school starts. He was just in an accident while he was pulling his boat so he doesn't have a boat right now but is in the process of getting a new one. Let me know if anyone has some free time this summer and wants to go fishing with him.
Thanks. Hope ya'll are having a good summer so far.

Thank you for your support of Warriors on the Water. You have been a great asset to this event. I always look forward to working with your group. Thank you for the great video for WOW. It was indeed a big hit with everyone at the Icebreaker on Ft. Bragg on Wednesday night.
I need to know who helped out at Warriors on the Water on friday. Send me an
email as soon as you can so I can get the points sheet finished before the
banquet on Wednesday. Thanks
Megan
I wanted to give you the shorter version of what occurred with the Warriors on the Water this past week.
Wed. April 15, We had the Icebreaker on Ft. Bragg, NC at the Sports USA. We had over 400 people there for the night. This is where the boaters get to meet their troops that are going to be their co-angler on Friday. A lot of gifts are given out. Speakers come in to thank the troops. We had several Bass Pros in attendance to give out autographs and take pictures with everyone.
On Thursday, April 16, we took a tour of Ft. Bragg and Pope AFB, NC. The group is made up of fishermen, sponsors and volunteers. This allows the civilian side to see what the Military do on a regular day to day basis. They get to meet and greet the troops and let them all know how much they are appreciated.
On Friday, April 17, we have the Military Appreciation Team Tournament on Jordan Lake, NC. It goes out of New Hope Ramp. There is so much work that goes on behind the scenes in order to make an event like this as successful as it is for the troops. The WOW committee is a very dedicated group, with each member having his or her own special jobs to do and to be in charge of to insure that everything goes as smooth as possible. This year, we had the Lee County School ROTC to post the colors, invocation given by Dr. Greg Poplin of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church from Lobelia, NC, The National Anthem sang by CW King of Ft. Bragg, NC. As he was singing, the Black Daggers from Ft. Bragg made an AWESOME jump to open the event. The first jumper came in carrying the American Flag and he also had a chain with 6 colorful smokes. He landed at the ramp and then quickly started narrating the next group of Black Daggers as they made a cold water jump in to the lake. The crowd was talking about this jump all day! What a way to kick off the 4th annual WOW event. We had 151 boats go out with American flags on their light poles and Yellow ribbons tied on the front of each boat. What a great site to see.
The set up at the ramp looked like a small village after everything was set up for the afternoon. FLW had provided us with a stage and weigh-in area as well as sending in a FLW boat simulator for everyone to ride on for free. Food was provided by Dominos and Texas Road House. The weather was great and there was more fish weighed in this time then at any other event. Each WOW committee member had their area's running great. This ensured the event to run as smooth as it did.
The top five team were: (BOLD is Military members)
1. Buster Seabolt and Brian Harrison. His home town is Arcadia, Fl. at 17.8. They received each a beautiful eagle trophy and lot's of gifts including a custom rod made for WOW by Skeet Bennett.
2. Tony Fofi and Clay Othic from Holt, Missouri at 13.15. They received trophies and Skeet's custom WOW rod and gifts.
3. Cory Williams and Luke Pearson from Las Vegas, NV at 13.2. They received trophies and gifts.
4. Ashton Morris with Doug Betts from Ft. Lynn, Or. at 13.1. Trophies and gifts.
5. Bill Shutt and Bruce Boardman from Inverness, Fl. at 12.3. Trophies and gifts.
Big bass went to team of Seabolt and Harrison at 8.9. They won $350.oo presented by Larry Thornhill of Fish Harder Companies
Second big bass went to the team of Leland Stiff and Anthony Bedell from Salem, Or. at 8.5. They won $150.00 presented again by Thornhill's company.
I hope this will help you with the info required on Warriors on the Water. Please Goggle warriors on the water or go to our site at www.warriorsonthewater. You may also contact me at 910 864-9500 (w) or my cell at 910 783-9233.
Congratulations goes out to Alex and Malissa for a job well done for the BassPack. Hopefully strong leaders will develop in your foot steps and will continue to grow as a strong team.
Jonathan, these young Men and Women were very lucky to have more then just an Advisor to their club, but rather they know it or not, they had a true friend to the BassPack! Job well done.
To the BassPack: I look forward to seeing you out at the Warriors on the Water next week. Mark and Jesse, thank you for your great support on the video. It will be aired at the Icebreaker next Wednesday night on Ft. Bragg.
A lot of people were not at the meeting last night so Jonathan wanted me to make sure everyone knew about a couple of important announcements.
Jonathan:
4.5 years ago Alex was there as one of the original officers of the club under the presidential leadership of Randall Hess. Since that day Alex has served the club in more ways then most of you know. He has taken great risks and committed many hours to the club that were never seen by the general membership. Alex has been the best leader this has club has ever had. I commend him for making the club what it is today and encourage you to do the same.
Malissa has served the club for the past 2.5 years. Malissa began her time with the club volunteering before she even went to a club meeting. She has worked triple shifts at almost every event to make sure the club had the help it needed. Malissa attended Agri life's 3 hr meetings every other week plus club sports meeting for the past two years to insure the club was funded. This year alone she brought in $1,500. With the clubs bank account only a little over $2,000 I feel it is safe to say she had a great impact. I commendher for the great service she has provided to the club and encourage you to do the same.
After 4.5 years advising the Bassback club I feel I have taught the club as much as I can. With Alex, the only remaining officer I stated with years ago, graduating; there would be no more of an appropriate time for me to make way for the next generation. My resignation as club adviser will allow students to gain more valuable experiences, this will open the window to new faculty advisers to bring fresh ideas, and allows me to work on building new projects at NCSU.
I hope to see all of you around campus and hear about your latest fishing stories. I hope to see many of you on the lake this summer with sore thumbs from lipping all those fish. If you ever need any help or want to bounce ideas off me then feel free to give me a call or stop in my office.
As my last piece of advice I suggest that the you never forget that the club's #1 purpose: "FUN". You don't need a $50,000+ boat with $10,000+ in gear to have Fun. So don't let tournaments, egos, money, or other stuff get in the way of the clubs original purpose....fun.
