I interviewed Harris in February. Here is my tribute to the fallen Dodger, including a photo of Harris with Roberto Clemente in Montreal in 1954.

Harris had a unique career: he played only two major league games, one for the Brooklyn Dodgers and the other for the LA Dodgers.

Everyone else who played for "both" these teams played at least 40 major league games.

I talked to one of the workers the morning after it happened (we're taking a trip to that and 70 other cemeteries in that part of the country).  At that point he was saying 90 markers had been knocked over.  The ONLY consolation to Colgan being unmarked is that means there is no marker to knock over.  As we travel around visiting cemeteries, it is amazing how much vandalism occurs in them.  Sometimes stones fall over due to tree roots, animals digging holes, ground shifts due to thaw/freeze/etc.  But there are a lot that are simply knocked over.  It happens in city cemeteries, rural cemeteries, fancy cemeteries, simpler cemeteries.  Some are unusually bad.  Mount Moriah in Philadelphia is the worst I've seen in that regard.

A 13-year-old Arizona boy was killed in a freak accident after a baseball hit him over the heart as he tried to bunt, officials in his Little League said Friday. Hayden Walton went for the bunt during a game Tuesday night in the close-knit northern Arizona city of Winslow, said Jamey Jones, a Winslow Little League official. "He took an inside pitch right in the chest," Jones said. "After that he took two steps to first base and collapsed." He died the next morning at a local hospital.

His record for the 1952 Miami Sun Sox was phemonon. But the other
pitchers also had fantastic years:

1 Billy Darden 18 10 .643 1.79

2 Elisha Dean 16 9 .640 1.69 3

3 Lowell Grosskopf 9 3 .750 1.98
