Versions of the "new art" and walking stick articles were included in a CD of
late Victorian/Edwardian material intended for roleplayers called "Forgotten
Futures." The game's author created a nice HTML version of these and has given
me permission to put his versions on the LSD site. So, I've set up a page that
links to them:
http://www.sirwilliamhope.org/Library/Bartitsu/
I've also included a plug for the compendia, &c. and links to bartitsu.org.
Concerning the animation, it would not be too difficult to scan the images,
split them into constituent parts and construct an animated gif from them:
http://www.lcdf.org/gifsicle/
The only disadvantages would that it would be an incredibly slow and tedious
process to get the images to the stage where that program could be used on them
and the images might wobble a bit unless the splitting was done well (I can't
think of a way other than by hand). Uyenishi's text is already scanned and
available in the files here so that might be a good starting point as it would
cut out the scanning part.
Milo.
