Am I right in assuming that you want to emigrate to another country within Europe? Most of my experience with European countries is as a tourist or teacher of short-term seminars rather than settling down and working full time.  On that basis and bearing the language issue in mind, I'd have to suggest either Germany or the U.K.


It depends on what it is you are looking for, or to move away from. If you want a more classically liberal economy and political system then the US is a good bet, if you can get past the immigration. 

I have a number of friends who have moved to New Zealand and love it enough to keep trying to persuade me to make the move.
