WOW! I have always been so proud of my super Callused, deep Black bottom Bare Feet,

and you should also be proud of your barefoot endurance. Like usual I am still going everywhere outdoors in my Bare Feet during this rough winter, and I'm doing fine. Your comments from a few weeks ago regarding developing tougher bare feet with thicker

I was layered with clothes and my feet really never got cold. Like I said, it was dry conditions and not much wind. So, my feet really didn't need warming up. I have always heated up quick and have been very warm natured. (I sweat shoveling snow!) I was fine the next day to run in new snow, also, at 18 degrees.

10+ miles at 6 F--how long does it take you to warm up your feet after this? If you run under these conditions one day, do you back off of running in such cold on subsequent days?

Regarding introduction of speed work, that can be hazardous when coming off the disabled list. It has never worked for me ... I always seem to get injured again. You are right. Just take it easy and ease into it again.

Congrats on this PB , Rick!
I can't imagine how this feel since the lowest temperature I
experienced in my entire live was 43F. But I think it's impressive
because at 43F I feel very cold!

My mileage was ZERO this past week. Too fast too soon for me. My
ankle/foot started hurting like past mid-October. I introduced
speedwork im my training the previous 3 weeks. Too fast too soon. In
October I only reduced the mileage but, this time, I'll rest until the
pain subsides. Also I'll delay the reintroduction of speedwork for months.

Congrats on this PB , Rick!
I can't imagine how this feel since the lowest temperature I
experienced in my entire live was 43F. But I think it's impressive
because at 43F I feel very cold!

My mileage was ZERO this past week. Too fast too soon for me. My
ankle/foot started hurting like past mid-October. I introduced
speedwork im my training the previous 3 weeks. Too fast too soon. In
October I only reduced the mileage but, this time, I'll rest until the
pain subsides. Also I'll delay the reintroduction of speedwork for months.
