Since a bit more than a week my hamstrings (at least, I think it's my
hanstrings) are bothering me. I only ran on Monday and Tuesdag and then
I decided to take a rest for a couple of days. Quite irritating, but
it's very easy to cause damage and not zo easy to get it healed again.
Anyway, not more than 8 miles this week.

Thanks Bob. We're not as young as we once were, huh? Take it easy and
we'll hear from you soon, I'm sure.
Happy 4th to you and yours!

Thanks Rick. This week may just be a surge though. I am changing my weekly running routine. I had been running barefoot on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; my long run (shod) on Sunday; and two mid-distance (shod) runs on Tuesday and Thursday. For now, my barefoot days will be on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday; long run on Friday; and mid-distance runs on Monday and Wednesday.
I had a fourth barefoot day this week due to the change. I am planning my 1st barefoot 10K this coming Friday. Eventually, I plan to convert all of my runs to barefoot.
God bless you,

Thanks for the encouragement Harish. I don't know if I will ever run a
marathon. I run for the fun of seeing how much I can do that others,
sometimes even myself, think impossible. I know that I never thought that I
would be running sub 7'30" pace half marathons, but I can on occasion. On
other occasions when the path is unknown or the trail rocky, its more like
9'30" pace. Just tonight, I ran my first half marathon distance run in a
long time at a 7'23" pace--only 1 sec pace off my personal best. It was fun
and not a labor. I was and am amazed. Surely we are fearfully and
wonderfully made.
