Thanks so much Mike. I appreciate it.
Got your mileage down. Hope that track thing works out for you if you
do have to grind out some jury duty.
Blessings!

Just 1.47 BF miles for me again this week. I hope to start gradually
increasing my BF mileage beginning with this upcoming week. I may have
to start federal jury duty this Tuesday however, which may cause me to
look for a well-lit rubberized track for running early or late in the
day.
BR - I enjoyed reading the latest BareSoul. God Bless!

We're still blessed with mild winter-weatherconditions in the Netherlands.
Wednesday: 8,6 km
Saturday: 10,3 km
Sunday: 12 km
Total: 30,9 km, or 19.2 BF miles.
See ya next week!
Peter
Thanks for the kudos Jon.
The group won't know what you're talking about unless I post a link
to last week's Bare Soul. I quit publishing it to the discussion
board a couple of weeks ago. It just goes out on email, now.
Here's the link if anyone wants to read the "bear" facts.

Rick -
Continuing thanks for all the your good services for the barefoot
running community.
Wanna hear a barefoot tie to the salmon-catching bear sitting on the
brim of Katmai Falls in southwest Alaska (where I was lucky to have
been able to have summer jobs at a camp about 1/2 mile from the falls
during college days)?
Walking barefoot down to the falls one warm summer day (a practice
I'd been doing to toughen my feet for winter skiing), I stepped on
something real sharp that felt like a bunch of sharp-pointed holly
leaves, . . . but we don't have any up there. When I looked down at
the bottom of my foot, a big yellow/black bumblebee was expressing
displeasure at being stepped on! At least I found out I wasn't
allegic to bee stings.
Little did I know that the happy yogi's we'd enjoy watching from the
river bank would be featured in a barefoot runner's journal.
Have fun spreading the word in Surf City with Kenbob in two weeks.

Only 1.47 BF miles for me this week.
BTW - I was able to finish the Carlsbad Marathon yesterday BUT after/around mile 17, I had to start alternating between walking and running. Although my calf injury did not flare up (thank
God), the results of not being able to run long for the last 5 weeks leading up to the marathon, not running at all since Monday, and still recovering from a bad cold or flu, I feel fortunate just to finish as well as I did which was just under 5 hours chip time and just over 5 hours clock time.
While I was stopped, massaging my calfs and thighs, around the 18 mile mark, I was passed by a barefoot runner who asked if I was OK. I did not notice that he was barefoot until after he had passed by. If that happened to be someone from this group, THANKS!

Sounds good Yanni.
Unfortunately I don't have a single mile to report this week. :-(
On my usual running days I had other priorities to comply with.
Hopefully it will be better next week.
