Well, I crossed the 10,000 BF mile mark today with my 10 miler! Think
I'll taper down from 50 to 40 miles a week through the end of the year
since I made this milestone.

Just wanted to send a quick note regarding some of the wonderful
things God is doing through His barefoot running ministry. I
say "His" ministry because He has truly taken it and shaped and re-
shaped it for His glory! God has shown me over and over again that I
am merely a "participant" in what he is doing, as many of you are
also by your prayers and gifts to this ministry.

A couple of things -- donations continue to flow in for the Kansas
City Rescue Mission. Thank you! The past two Sundays the Lord has
allowed me to share the Gospel at two different churches -- one in
Paola Kansas and one in Parkville Missouri. At both services, the
Spirit of the Lord was mightily present and He moved demonstrably on
individual hearts. The response was humbling as it was clearly the
Lord's doings.

As we "race" toward year's end, please consider praying for the
Lord's barefoot running ministry and these upcoming events:
Friday 11/30 - 12/1 - Your humble servant will be in Boston Mass at
Harvard University for a barefoot running study conducted by Dr.
Daniel Lieberman and his esteemed colleague William Werbel. They are
studying the differences between "shod" and barefoot runners. Please
pray that God has His way with this trip.

Sunday 12/9 - Will be running my 33rd barefoot marathon in Dallas. I
will be kicking off my 2008 Soles For Souls Campaign that weekend,
with a 2008 year-end goal of $10,000 for Free Wheelchair Mission
(www.freewheelchairmission.org). This organization is providing free
wheelchairs to those in third-world countries that would be doomed to
a life with no mobility if it were not for this outreach. Please pray
that God would be glorified through my running of this marathon and
regarding the 2008 Soles For Souls goal.

Thursday 12/13 - Will be sharing the message "Clean Hands and Dirty
Feet" at the Kansas City Rescue Mission Chapel at 7 p.m., 1520
Cherry, Kansas City Missouri.

Continue to pray for the "Bare Soul" weekly devotionals. Current
distribution is nearing 700. Please pray that these would be
encouraged, challenged, and strengthened.

Finally, please continue to pray that the Lord would be lifted up and
that He would use this ministry as He sees fit as we head into 2008.
Your prayers are SO much appreciated!

Yanni has been gone on his honeymoon with his new bride, so we'll cut him some slack for not reporting in for the past few weeks. However, he is now all caught up with his BF mileage. Thanks Yanni and welcome back!

after twenty days of taper since the 11/4 United We Run Marathon, my bare feet took me along the 26.2 miles of this year's Seattle Marathon course criss-crossing with Barefoot Chris and Barefoot Todd on the two out-and-backs and enjoying the "there's another one" comments that, until the 2002 Carlsbad Marathon with Barefoot Kenbob, I once never even dreamed I'd ever hear. 

 

Lot of tapering though from now through the end of the year before starting a new running season.

 

I'll be back.

Tuesday 11,6 km (track, missed one round, shoudl haven been 12 km, ;-) )
Thursday 8,6 km
Sunday 14,8 km (6C/43F, partly with heavy showers and quite a bit of
wind: that was fun!)

Total 35 km, after conversion 21.8 BF miles
