DOWNS PARK 5-MILE RUN, FUN RUN & TOT TROT

Downs Park, Pasadena, MD, will be open
early for family participation races on Saturday,
November 7. The 5-Mile Race starts at 8:30 a.m.
Sponsored by the Annapolis Striders and
Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks, the
1-Mile Fun Run starts at 8:10, and the100- yard parking lot Tot Trot at 8:15.
Register by mail before November 3, or
on race day from 7:00–8:15 a.m. Pre-entry is $3
for Striders members; $5 for non-members; all
race day entries are $10.00. There is no fee for
the Fun Run and Tot Trot but registration is required.
The scenic course on Downs Park trails
is mostly flat on hard surface trails. No
strollers or babyjoggers, headphones, roller
blades or pets are allowed on the race course.
Commemorative Hog Neck Scamper T-shirts
will be awarded to the first 100 participants who
show up on race day. The first and second
overall male and female winners will receive
awards, as well as awards two-deep in 10-year age
divisions. Tot Trot and Fun Runners receive ribbons. Refreshments for all.
For Annapolis Striders members, this is
the 7th leg of the 2009 Club Championship Series. All runners are invited.
