Maria Portilla finished 2nd in the 2006 Baltimore Marathon, and 5th in
the 2007 Baltimore Marathon running 2:39:55 to qualify for the Beijing
Olympics (by 5 seconds). Maria ran 2:35:19 in the Beijing Olympic
Marathon setting a new national record for Peru. It's kind of nice to know
that our marathon has an impact on the world scene.
