How about TheRavensAreNotTheOrioles. Seriously. It's a winner.
The contrast between the Orioles and Ravens way of doing things is
always a hot topic of conversation in this town, and it's something
that everyone understands and to which the average fan can connect.

Ed Reed, the league's defensive player of the year in 2004, has reached

Ravens, Reed agree to six-year extension June 27, 2006
OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed agreed to terms
Tuesday on a six-year, $40 million contract extension with the team. Reed was
entering the final year of his original contract. The agreement ended off-and-on
talks that began last season. Reed's agent, Greg Genske, said his client will
receive a $15 million signing bonus in the largest deal ever given to a safety.

volumes to his teammates." Drafted out of Miami by the Ravens in the first
round of the 2002 draft, Reed quickly became one of the league's most dynamic
playmakers on defense. He was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2004 and
selected to the Pro Bowl in 2003 and 2004. In 2004, he led the league
with nine interceptions and set an NFL record with 358 yards on interception
returns. During his four years with Baltimore, Reed has totaled 307 tackles,
knocked away 61 passes and picked off a team-record 22 passes. He has also
blocked four punts, returning three for touchdowns. Despite missing six games
last season with a high ankle sprain, Reed was a first alternate to the Pro
Bowl. Updated on Tuesday, Jun 27, 2006 7:39 pm EDT

Considering Strahan's record, I would strongly suggest - if this is
true - that the Ravens go out and sign some "homos". Assuming, of
course - not likely - that we don't already have some. Statistically
speaking we have about four already.

I watched Sapp on Indy, he would have been a sub for us until this season.

OWINGS MILLS, Maryland (Ticker) - Reserve safety Gerome Sapp is back

The Baltimore Ravens on Monday acquired Sapp from the Indianapolis
Colts for a conditional draft pick in 2007.

Sapp spent the last two seasons with the Colts after being waived by
the Ravens in September 2004. He has played in 43 NFL games,
including 14 with Baltimore, and recorded 74 tackles.

A sixth-round pick of the Ravens out of Notre Dame in 2003, Sapp has

I find it surprising that the Orioles even recognized McNair's
existence. Angelos' hatred toward the Ravens is well known,
although "jealousy" would likely be a better term. I will never
forget when the Ravens won the Super Bowl and Angelos didn't even
bother to take out an ad in the paper to congratulate them. That's
unheard of in two-team cities.

You kidding me? McNair has already earned the starting spot just by speaking up
and saying "I'm taking this team to the Super Bowl." Unlike Boller saying "This
is my team, period."

I think Billick sees the writing on the wall that if he does not have McNair
play, he's going to be gone after this year. The owner wants to win and the
locker room is starting to turn against him.

Anyway it'll be interesting to see a real QB for a change.

2 teams came in to make offers for McNair besides Ravens.

I know this sounds good on paper but it is going to lead to a season long QB
controversy.Billick will say Boller is the starter and half the team and fans
will want McNair in there.
Ray was on earlier crying about being tired of losing and here he is again, now
with a pulled hamstring. The guy has gone from a great player and team leader to
a carping bellyacher and he can't even play himself. From what I gathered earlier
he was taking shots at the DL and in particular Kelly Gregg for not being big
enough or whatever.
I wish he would just go away..
