The Indians are willing to trade either or both of Cliff Lee and/or Victor
Martinez. However, according to the team, the price would be "staggering".
Well, maybe last year, at least for Lee. He was 22-3, 2.54 ERA, 172-34 K-BB
ratio, 1.11 WHIP. Talk about staggering!
This year, however, he is 4-7 so far, 3.39 ERA, 82-27 K-BB, 1.38 WHIP. Decent
across the board, but certainly a comedown. Although, to be fair, with stats
like his '08, a comedown was all but certain. Only Yo-Han and the '90s Greg
Maddux in recent times could do such things every year.
As for Martinez, he was awful last year, but was injured much of it. Through
today, However, he is 53-14-57-.308-.902. Pretty good year, I must say, and he
can play first base and back up Wieters.
No way I'd pay "staggering", whtever that means. But I think they should give
the Indians a call and discuss it.

O's don't have the depth to trade for either one of these guys but i would love
to have martinez.Bet the skanks wind up wth Lee and Hughues going back..I'm
sitting here wondering how Josh Hamilton got named a starter this year to the
allstar game.I'm also surprised that Adam Jones got selected over Sherill for
the O's.
