It isn't always great returns but you never know. Thing is, I can't think of a
Mets prospect that would help us.

I want to get away from the Orioles tradition of trading decent players for guys
who will simply fill out rosters. If we don't get a legitimate prospect of some
sort, I say no deal. That said, I'm certainly willing to throw in a Salazar or
Montanez along with Huff to make a deal work.

We have enough outfielders, could use some help with our infield and don't know
how the young pitching will pan out. Also need to remember that while the Mets
could use a guy like Huff, they still have Delgado for at least another season
so they arent going to give up much for Huff to begin with. However considering
that it's unlikely that whoever gets him by trade will extend him. I say trade
him to a contender and get whatever you can get, even if it's only a couple of
AA players, we at least get some compensation and resign Huff in the offseason
or see if we can get Salazar, Montanez or Snyder to man down first base.

Or keep him, period? Personally, as always, I feel it depends on the offer.
But I am not expecting a big offer, and I can't really blame them, as he would
be a rental. Still, you never know what a team on the cusp of the playoffs will
do. Panic mode would be great.
