Also, I was unable to find the answer to the question of why Duncan
(he is the son of ex-Oriole catcher Dave Duncan, BTW, should anyone
actually care) had only 375 at-bats. Did he have an injury
(acceptable if resolved) or was he being platooned (unacceptable)?

Cardinals fans are talking about Tejada and Bedard. Trading Bedard could land you 3 ready MLB players including Duncan at 1B. Bedard does not look happy here...

4-50 is typical Orioles. Just enough to be turned down. You're looking at 4-60/70 to sign Bedard, and he'll almost certainly get it somewhere. Somewhere...
