I agree with Mark it is a sad day. I hope you are feeling OK.
Whom ever is responsible should be suspended from BMX.
The rules clearly state
10. A rider may be disqualified or suspended for his/her actions or the actions
of his/her parent(s), guardian(s),sponsor(s), pit crew or any other affiliate.
11. Any parent, guardian, sponsor, pit crew member or other affiliate may have
his/her event attendance privilege revoked for their own actions or actions of
their rider(s).
About 8 years ago at a McCollum Park GoldCup (Redline Cup) Qualifier a lady
picked up a box of flyer and throw them at me. Hit me square in the face. It
was in front of everyone in sign-up, well the parent was suspended from BMX and
her child could of been suspended but he was up for the State Championship which
with the suspended, he would of not got to race the final. This was not the
riders fault, it was the parent. Whom ever this was should be suspended and ABA
should be contacted. No reason for anyone to attack someone, that's assault.
Take Care Scot

unbelievable. I can't imagine anyone physically attacking someone as respected
as you and who has done so much for others!
