Many of you may already be aware of the great loss our BMX family had
within the last month. Tim "PaPa" Wilson passed away on February
25th, 2008. River Valley and the Wilson family would like to invite
everyone to the track on Saturday March 15th to pay our respects to
Tim "PaPa" Wilson. The Wilson family will be there.
In Loving Memory of Tim "Papa" Wilson
April 28Th 1955 - February 25Th 2008
For those of you who didn't get to know Tim as much as others, he was
one of the nicest persons you could meet. He always gave a helping
hand and never expected anything in return. Papa made his living as a
Tile Contractor. He enjoyed working in custom homes (homes such as
Brother of the Pointer Sister's, Gary McKay of Alt Electric, and even
the next door neighbor Mr. Hepitas. People would wait months just to
have Tim install their tile work. Tim always kept himself busy. If
it wasn't his honey do list, grand kids, BMX or watching Nascar, he
was working on his hotrod. Tim enjoyed restoring his 85' Chevy
pickup. He enjoyed it so much that he DID NOT like working on
imports. He would always tell his kids "why don't you sell this
stupid thing!" His BMX career of watching started in 1985, with his
son Johnathon and Jacob and then went to his grand kids in 2002.
Papa not only loved watching his kids and grand kids but also loved
watching everybody else peddle their little and big hearts out. Papa
was out at the track every chance he got. He always gave
encouragement and DOLLAR BILLS, it didn't matter who it was. If he
didn't have it then he would send everyone to Nana. Papa was so
proud, that he bragged to his buddies and colleagues as if he raced
himself. For a guy that was the master at working on cars, he could
never master the brakes on bikes, so he always left it to Dan
Bushnell and his son Jacob.
Papa's last race was on Sunday Feb. 24Th, and he got to watch all of
his grandson's race and his granddaughter transfer to the girl's
expert class.
We will say one thing... "We sure will miss his shining face at the
races"
