Re: WooHoo...bought my first recumbent - a Strada.......couple ?'s

Note that the pickups for speed and cadence are located in the same
sensor on the Garmin Edge 305. Thus, the wheel circle and the pedal
circle have to overlap at a point where you can mount the sensor if
you want to use both of them. On a high racer, you can mount the
sensor to pick up cadence (but not speed) and use the satellite to
calculate speed. A minor issue, but fyi.

Note also that when you set the Garmin display to five data fields,
one field will be easy to read, but the other four will be harder to
read. I have mine mounted above the right handgrip and can barely
read the four smaller fields. However, I don't have real good vision
to begin with.

I bought my Garmin Edge 305HR+Speed/Cadence at Chumbo.com. They have
it today for $265.99. My experience with them was fine.
