WooHoo...bought my first recumbent - a Strada.......couple ?'s   Message List

Re: WooHoo.

Congrats. Sorry you didn't see my Strada listing. I'm about an hour
from Chicago. You'd have gotten a ROTOR crankset , two bags and I'm
coming to Chicago for a concert tonight. As far as pedals, I use Look
A5.1 pedals on my DF but would never use them on my Strada. Egg Beaters
seem to be the most popular. I like SpeedPlay Frogs for bents and when
touring on a DF. Easy in/out and gobs of float...even more if you grind
off the stop on the pedal and let you knees and ankles go natural.
Wireless computers are good unless you use a battery pack/headlight set
up (many of us ride at night). They can screw up the wireless signal.
The good news is that battery pack lighting systems are going the way of
the Dodo. If you're going to ride at night check out the Fenix L1D CE
light. It's about $55.00, puts out up to 90 lumens and is the size of
a Mini MagLite. Plus it's easily mounted on an accessory bar with an
available attachment. My friend has two on his Corsa and, at night, he
looks like an Audi coming toward you. Enjoy.

To mount the bottle cage you should burn through the mesh with a soldering iron or a heated up nail. This will keep the mesh from unraveling. As far as the...
