We all have our own opinions, but here's mine
Computer - Cateye Astrale 8. Not wireless, I had a wireless Sigma and
found it had annoying quirks. The Astrale works great, make sure you get
the long harness to fit your bent.
Pedals - I love my eggbeaters. I'd recommend Mt. Bike shoes - easier to
start/stop without slipping. But, you could just get whatever you are
used to - no specific bent issues. If you are going to get something
different than you've got on your DF, I'd suggest looking at Eggbeaters
or Speedplays, I've never tried the latter, but people on bents like
them. Both have more float than SPDs to protect your knees. The
eggbeaters, once you are used to them, are much easier to get in/out of.
I really like mine.
And you didn't ask, but I have to put a plug in for the Norback from
Fastback systems for tools. Hangs under your seat, fill it with
necessary stuff and forget it. I then use a fastback system hydration
pack for most rides and add a Bacchetta brain box for lunches and
sundries on longer rides. I really like the norback, though, because I
found I would be taking stuff in/out of the other bags, and when I had a
flat I'd find that I'd inadvertently taken out something necessary for
the flat and forgotten to replace it. I never touch the norback except
for the necessary road repairs and therefore it is always stocked with
the needed items like tubes and a pump.
enjoy your new ride!
