While introducing someone to using firearms involves a certain amount of
fitting, we shouldn't shy away from using some mild exercise in the process.
Squeezing a tennis ball or a few wrist curls with a light dumbbell can be a
big help and takes only a few minutes. If they see Mom or Dad doing it,
they won't have any qualms in participating. Children in past generations
had chores that gave them some hand strength.
