Doug,
The match chamber is probably a little smaller to take advantage of
higher quality ammunition. The standard chamber is probably bigger in
order to handle anything that comes along.
My S&W 41 functions all day long with CCI-SV, but Winchester XPert
will stove pipe, fail to extract, fail to pick up a new round often
enough that I only will use it for slow fire. I was told the XPert has
some large brass and that is what is causing the trouble. I may chamber
a slug to use as a drop in gage, gage some ammo and see if it is reliable.
