Am I correct that a 900 can be shot with any caliber gun?

For example I have seen an announcement of a revolver competition that
will include a 900 and also a Distinguished Revolver stage.

Can I shoot a DR gun (i.e. .38) in the 900? I reviewed the NRA rulebook
and do not see any restriction as far as caliber for a 900 but thought
I'd confirm.

Depends on the match. It may be .22 only, like a sectional. Or it may be any CF or 45 only. We have an upcoming 900 match in NJ that's DR revolver only. ...

Same one, and yes the same gun can be used. BECAUSE ... the 900 is a NJ state DR championship match. I believe it may be the first one ever. Here's a link...
