Jim,
I've been reloading for about 35 years. While it's generally a
good idea to start slowly with a single stage press, I would
recommend the RL-550. It's a great piece of gear and it does four
operations in one pull of the handle. The powder measures are very
accurate and meter powders to the point where I use them for all ball
powders, most pistol powders and even H-335 (.223) with only a check
every 10 - 20 rounds and I get ammo that is as accurate or more so
then factory.
I have an RCBS Rockchucker Pro for rifle loading, but thats
because I have to size then trim the brass for rifle and the IMR 4895
is a powder that may or may not measure well in the Dillon.
For .308/30-06/.243 etc, I scale each charge.
