About a week ago, IMR released it's recommended loads for Trail Boss powder in
.45 ACP.
I immediately tried it and found a very clean burining powder that fills the .45
ACP case
with target velocity loads. Bullseye makes me nervous because a double charge
could
easily be overlooked.
Using 185 gr. lead wadcutters, I tried several charges from the minimum to near
maximum in .2 grain increments. I found that 3.5 grains (minimum) wold not
operate my
SIG P220s reliably. Other charges worked fine. I didnt do any accuracy
testing, except
shooting a good group at 25 yards with 4.6 and 4.8 grains of powder.
Has anyone else tried using tis powder for bullseye?
