Tuesday evening I was in the area on my roadie & decided to try the Rally Ride
(fka, Hell Ride) that the Great Divide Team hosts. Meet @ 6:00 @ Spring Meadow
Lake. The ride goes up Birdseye Rd. & over Lincoln Rd. back to Helena. While
on the course, we practice pace lines, sprints & other team road racing tactics.
Admittedly, it's tough and folks will get dropped. However, we re-group 2 or 3
times along the way and also ride back into Helena as a group.

Greg Wirth was the only other rider that showed up Tuesday. Truth be told, by
the time we got back to Helena, he was pulling me on a chain with a dog collar.
Regardless, it's a good ride, a chance to get stronger on the bike & an
opportunity to gain a little race experience.

I'm tentatively planning to take a crack at the Cow Country Classic in a couple
weeks. Masters B. My first ever road race. Hopefully, the Tuesday night Rally
Ride serves me well.

I'm planning to try it again next Tuesday. Join me if you can make it.
