Rumor has it that hikers are working hard to keep Mountain Bikers OUT
of Red Rock Canyon. Red Rock Canyon is directly south accross
Highway 24 from Garden of the Gods. It is a stunning 787 acre park
(the size of Palmer Park!).
If we as Mountain Bikers miss this opportunity to show our interest
and desire to help plan, build and maintain this brand new trail
system from the get go - we may forever lose access to Red Rock
Canyon on our bikes.
I will be there to protect my right to ride...will you join me?
This is the first of FIVE meetings planned over the next few months -
please check the schedule and make time to attend these critical
meetings.
Meeting details:
Wednesday February 11, 2004
5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
This event does not repeat.
Event Location: Intergenerational Center at 25 North 20th Street
Notes:
*** Bikers MUST speak up to permit and plan for biking trails in the
park - this is YOUR chance to speak up **
The 787 acre Red Rock Canyon has been saved from development and the
trails planning stage is just beginning. Directly South of Garden of
the Gods accross highway 24. It is an awesome park...more beautiful
and primitive than Garden of the Gods itself.
