Shimano Ultegra 8spd components
new downtube shifters (old STI levers wore out)
Mavic Open Pro Ceramic wheels, used but true.

Frame and components in good used condition, never abused.

Beautiful orange IF Deluxe frame, hand-made in Somerville Mass.
Frame is from about 1999, but hardly used. I bought it last year off of E-bay,
built it and rode maybe 10 times. Frame is too small for me, so you get a
beautiful frame for cheap!

Frame is an 18, called a Medium. The head tube is 1", so you'll need an old-
style fork, since all the new ones are 1.125". However, I have a brand new
Manitou fork which I can sell you, if you need one.

It is with regret I offer my 58cm Atlantis to the BOB list before it
hits ebay. This bike is in excellent condition with very little use.
I don't think I'll be doing loaded touring anytime soon and would
like to make room for a Quickbeam.

The condition of the frame is excellent, a few paint scratches with a
bit of chainsuck evident. The components are VG-excellent.

This is a top quality build all the way.
It is currently set up with straight bars - Old school Ritchey Force
silver bars and stem.

Here are the components:
Shimano XT drive train - 8 speed Rapidfire Brifters, XT rear and
front derailler
Old school silver XT triple cranks, 46-36-26, 110 BCD, 175mm arms
(some scratches)
Suntour XC Pro cantis (new)
Tange "sealed mechanism" silver headset
Phil "red signature" hubs front and rear (freewheel type, like new)
Mavic 519 CD ceramic rims, 36 hole (new)
13-30 7 speed freewheel (I have others I can substitute)
Continental 2000 Touring tires, 47mm (new)
Nitto large rear rack (new)
Nitto Frog seatpost
Brooks B17 Champion Special honey saddle (broken in some)
SKS plastic fenders, painted beige to match off white headtube (looks great)

I am asking $1450 plus shipping.

If interested, I can send pics. Thanks for looking.

French Motobecane road bike.
not sure of measurements but I am of the beautiful 5'10" and it is just a bit
big for my comfort.
black like the color.
rides very nicely for needing on of those derailer things.
brakes work to stop.

you can fly around the metropolis like a french-person in san francisco riding

Hi everybody,
Im looking for a fairly clean 46cm 1989 Bridgestone MB 1. I will take
either the complete bike or the frame and fork. If youve got
something, let me know.

Thanks,
Dave

PS if anybody wants a pretty scratched up 49cm frame and fork set,
Ive got one. Might be good for a messenger or city bike in its
present state, or repaint it however you want.

I have a very clean 1989 or 90 MB-1, 46 cm in very clean condition. I
bought it about a year ago from the original owner who rode it on city
streets only. She even had a high handlebar stem and comfort handlebars
installed on it. I began working on replacing some of those things. So far
I have replaced the stem with a new "Zoom" stem, the handlebars with a Scott
AT-2 bar, and the biopace chainrings with a Shimano set of chainrings. I
have all the original stuff for it, including the Ritchey handlebar, Ritchey
stem and biopace chainrings. I haven't completed the work yet, but it's
very close to being done. All I have left is to replace the shifter and
brake cables. I paid $450 for it because the lady knew about Bridgestone's
value. I will sell it for $500 because of the modifications I have made on
it. If I take off the modifications, you can have it for $450. It even has
the original tires. This bike can easily be made back to original
condition, but I think I've made it better. If you are interested, let me
know, and I will send you pictures. Thanks.

John

Howdy folks.

I have a new-to-me bike on the way and another couple
I am interested in, so I need to sell a few bikes.
Here is what I am offering (all plus shipping):

1988 Bridgestone RB-2 frameset- 56cm square (C-T),
solid red with Tange Technoglide headset. Same frame
as '88 RB-1. In very good condition with a few
storage type nicks and scratches (never been crashed)-
$225.

Mid-80s Gitane Tour de France- about 55cm square, dark
metallic orange with Chrome fork. Vitus 971 tubing.
A few scratches, but overall very nice looking.
Components are Suntour shifters and derailleurs,
Ofmega hubs and cranks, SR bar/stem, Mavic MA40 rims
and Modolo Speedy black brakes/levers (nice anatomic
gum hoods). Seat is a worn but not torn Turbo and
tires are pretty much shot- $325.

Panasonic road-path- about 56cm square, early 80s
(guess). Metallic black, lugged made in Japan
constuction, track fork ends. Uses nutted short reach
brakes, but no other braze-ons. Araya clinchers with
Suntour XC Pro front and Sunshine flip-flop rear hubs.
Nitto bar/stem, Sugino Super Maxy 165mm cranks with
single non-removeable 1/8" chainring, alloy rat trap
pedals with clips and straps. Complete bike minus
seat, bar tape and rear cog (don't have a 1/8"). Not
quite like new, but clearly not used much. The only
thing you can really compare this to is a Kogswell and
it will be a much cheaper complete bike- $350.

2002 Redline Monocog- size S, black with red graphics.
Never fully assembled, most components are new.
Stronglight 175mm crank with single chainring,
Ambrosio double wall rims, BMX hubs. Titec stem (red)
and seatpost, Dia-Compe v-brakes and levers, Race Face
riser bar and red Oury grips. No cables and chain is
not set up the right length (started the build, ran
into a snag and never finished). I think all the
components are nicer than the factory build Monocog
parts except maybe the hubs. Either complete and
ready to ride or missing cables/housing and larger
rear freewheel- $350.

I can get pictures sent out no later than Wednesday
night, so please ask if you are interested (and let me
know if there is anything in particular you want to
see).

Thanks, Doug

P.S. Depending on interest, I might be willing to
move the parts over from the Gitane to the RB-2...

Group, Hellos from a snowy NYC. I'm looking for a source for clear
brake cable housing. This stuff looks light gray from a distance, but
upon closer examination, you can see the metal housing weave through
the plastic. Since there are 14 bikes in the fleet, a 50' box is Not
out of the question. I have not seen this stuff anywhere, so if you
know of a source, have an old box etc, please be in touch. I'm also
looking for another 59ctt '92 or'93 XO-1 and a 60cm Specialized
Sequoia, circa 1985 ( aren't we all? ). There was a guy out in the
L.A. area last year who had a white one for sale, but I lost his e-
mail address. Happy Holly Daze, and remember, Eskimos are God's

Oops, left out some details:

RB-2 is 126mm OLD rear spacing, Gitane is a 12-speed
with friction shifting, Panasonic is a fixed gear and
Monocog is a single speed mountain bike :^)

Happy holidays,

Subject: FS: Bontrager CX Cyclocross Bike
db@...

I am selling my handbuilt Bontrager CX cyclocross racing bike in
excellent condition. The size is a Large, with a 54cm seat tube and a
58.1cm effective top tube measured center to center. Standover is
32.4 inches with a slightly sloping top tube. This bike would fit
someone approx. 5 ft 10 or over, depending on body type.

This is a superior 'cross bike for racing or road/off recreational road riding.

The frame and fork was designed by Keith Bontrager and handmade in
Bontrager's shop in Santa Cruz, CA - the TIG welds are immaculately
done. Tubing is highest quality double butted True Temper steel - it
is an extremely light steel bike. Ask the racers - they will tell you
this is one of the finest cyclocross racing bikes ever designed and
built. There are no dings, dents or rust on this frame; the flaws are
limited to a few small cosmetic scratches.

This frame features the Keith Bontrager designed and built curved
blade fork, not the Steelman straight blade fork used a few years
later for this model.

The components are top quality and range from new to excellent
condition - Shimano Ultegra 600 crankset, XT front derailler, LX
rear derailler, 8 speed indexed Dura Ace barend shifters, XT
cassette, and Suntour XC Pro cantilever brakes with Shimano levers.
The bike also includes a Chris King headset, Salsa steel stem and a
USE XCR suspension seatpost, the best and lightest available.

The wheelset: up front is a Syncros hub radially laced to a Sun ME14A
rim. Rear hub is Ultegra laced to a Sun ME14A rim. Both are 32 spoke.
Tires are Ritchey CrossMax with very little wear. No pedals included.

Priced to sell quickly - I am asking $799 plus shipping.

I have pics I can email upon request. Contact me off list with any
questions. Thanks for looking.

bad. Has Allentown, PA, 1020 Tempered Steel Lug Frame written on the seat
tube. It has butted tubes, is maroon colored. He wanted to offer it to list

Bridgestone's early entry into the multi-terrain bicycle market. Awesome bike
for great street performance with features built for strength. Very low miles,
new tires, great condition. The included Avocet handlebar "computer" needs a
new battery and connecting cable.

23" from crank to bottom of seat post. Will work for 5'10 - 6'3" rider (I think)

Hi all,

I'm in the market for a dedicated touring bike or bare
frame. Something on the order of a Trek 520,
Bridgestone RB-T, or even a Cannondale T-series, but
I wouldn't turn up my nose at that unloved Bruce
Gordon you have cluttering up the family room. ;)

In a traditional frame geometry I'd be looking for
around a 52cm, measured center-to-top, though with top
tubes sloping more and more, seat tube length seems to
mean less all the time. Max standover height would be
about 30.5" or so.

Anyone have anything Bob'ishly cool or even just plain
jane practical they're interested in selling?

Cheers and safe riding,

-Jack

For sale: Specialized Expedition touring bike. This was once the ultimate in
touring bikes and mine proved faultless in 1200 miles, around europe, carrying
all my own gear, camping equipment, food, etc. Also used extensively in
commuting in the bay area. Size about 52-54 cm (didn't check). 18 speed without
click shifting (but easy to upgrade if desired). Has racks, bags, fenders,
pump, tool bag, bell, leather Brooks seat, 40 spoke rear wheel (heavy duty),
tires are 700c x 35 (the fattest of the skinny type tires) multiple braze ons
on the frame, repainted but no decals, color is a metallic gray. Handlebar is a
bull moose style alloy mountain bike bar, original was a drop type bar, I liked
this style better. Has large mountain bike/ motorcycle Magura brake levers
(nice, heavy duty). Overall a nice machine for commuting, urban assault, or
long or short distance touring with all your gear. Email me or give me a call
if you have any particular questions.

For the true "retro-geek!" If you have to ask what this bike looks like, you
probably don't want it (but pics are available). A product of Specialized's
brief foray into the "euro-type" city bike, this beauty was only made for a few
years in the mid-1990's. It is sparkly black with full, wrap-around grey
fenders, and the bike is complete! It has also been upgraded from a 3 speed to a
7 speed Shimano Nexus internal hub shifter. In addition to e-mail, you may also
call (530)757-5669 (days), or (530)297-5180 (evenings(.

Having to pass this one along (not mine) ...

It's a Waterford 1200, serial #56E94091 (I think this translates to a 56cm
frame -- the 91st one built in May of 1994). Pics here:
